The Jeep® Compass Trailhawk® boasts excellent off-road performance thanks to the Jeep Active Drive Low 4x4 System that includes a 20:1 crawl ratio and low range for Trail Rated® capability. The Selec-Terrain® Traction Management System adds a fifth setting–Rock–for your off-road adventures.

Help On The Hills 

Hill Descent Control monitors throttle, speed and braking on steep slopes when gravity’s pull wants to take over. Brakes are automatically applied for a safe and smooth descent, allowing you to concentrate on steering. Exclusively on Trailhawk®.

Traction 

Traction is key when off-roading so that every wheel works to drive the vehicle forward. Available Jeep® Brand 4x4 systems help to ensure the right tire has traction when it’s needed. 

Water Fording  

The Trail Rated® Jeep® Compass features high air intakes and special water sealing to help get you through water obstacles when driving off-road. 

Maneuverability 

Good maneuverability allows you to steer around or crawl over obstacles like rocks, logs or tight spots. 

Articulation  

What’s the secret to getting good flexibility on the trails? Good articulation. The more up and down travel the wheel has, the better it can maintain contact with the terrain. 

Ground Clearance 

Good ground clearance helps you pass over obstacles and is measured at three points: approach angle, breakover angle and departure angle.

Performance and efficiency are amplified with the help of the MultiAir® 2 valve train system on the 2.4L Tigershark® engine. MultiAir 2 technology maximizes intake manifold pressure and manages combustion quality to help the engine run more efficiently and effectively. The available nine-speed automatic transmission (4x4 models only) further optimizes engine output and enables aggressive launches and smooth power delivery.
